What this site is

Heat Pump Installation Canada is an informational website published by Locally Visible. It researches and publishes material about heat pumps in Canada: installed costs by province, the federal and provincial rebate landscape, equipment sizing, and cold-climate performance.

It is not an HVAC contractor and not a directory of contractors. It does not install, quote, arrange, or broker anything, it has no commercial relationship with any installer or manufacturer, and there is no form on this site through which an enquiry could reach one.

Not professional advice

Everything here is general information, not professional HVAC, electrical, energy-efficiency, or financial advice. Whether a heat pump suits a particular house depends on its envelope, its ductwork, its electrical service, and its local design temperature — none of which can be assessed from a web page. Before committing to a retrofit, get a Manual J load calculation done on the actual building by someone qualified to do it.

Rebate and program information

Federal and provincial rebate programs change frequently, and the sequencing rules matter as much as the amounts. Program details here are accurate to the best of the publisher\'s knowledge at the dates shown, but the program administrator\'s own published terms govern. Confirm eligibility, current status, and required order of operations directly with the administrator before relying on any figure published here. The Canada Greener Homes Grant ($5,000) closed to new applicants on January 20, 2026.

Accuracy of pricing information

Price ranges on this site are researched market data drawn from Canadian installer quote information, trade-association surveys, and NRCan program data. They are reference points for evaluating a quote, not offers, and nothing is available for purchase at any price shown. An actual quote may fall outside these ranges depending on electrical capacity, ductwork condition, and equipment availability.
